- In a small amount of oil, brown chops on both sides, allowing about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Transfer to greased medium casserole. In a minimum amount of the fat left from the chops, brown onions and celery. Turn onto chops. Combine thyme, orange juice and wine vinegar; sprinkle over chops in casserole, cover and bake at 350* 50-60 minutes or until meat is tender. Remove cover for last 10 minutes; thicken sauce.
