From the Lake Charles J.L. cookbook from Britt Armstrong who says "A very old New Orleans Recipe"
- 1 -2 cup crushed ice
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
- 1 dash vanilla
- 3 dashes orange flower water
- 2 ounces half-and-half
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 2 ounces gin
- Place ice in shaker.
- Plaece ingredients in shaker.
- Note: use blender if desired.
Just like Grandma used to make them! I did add a bit more sugar to the mix to counter the lemon. I blended them and they were delicious.
