This is my mother-in-law's famous pecan pie recipe. It is easy to make and packed full of flavor.

  1. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until thoroughly blended.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

YUM ! Pecan pie is by far my absolute favorite pie in the whole world. I added about 3/4 cup of pecans rather than 1/2, but kept all else the same. I've got one of these in the freezer already - it was sooo good. Thanks for posting - this one's a keeper !

This was my first try at pecan pie, and it was super easy and sooo delicious!! I added a cup to the total amount of pecans, (making 1 1/2 total), next time I think I will use 3/4 of a cup as that felt like a few too many. I also used Lite Karo, and I think the taste and consistency were still great. This is definitely a keeper.

First, I have to admit that I have tried pecan pie only once in my 40 years & did not like it at all. What made me want to try it again? Well, each PAC I challenge myself to try one food or method that is new to me. This time it was the pie. Making it myself made it a lot less scary. It always helps when you know exactly what went into your food. I made & used The Flakiest Pie Crust for this. I was pleasantly surprised when not only myself, but DS really enjoyed it. :) Thanks for sharing your MIL's recipe, Carol! It was super easy to make & very delicious!
