Easy recipe for making your own dog biscuits. Not my original recipe, but my maltipoo loves them!
- 1⁄2 cup water (add more water later if needed)
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 cup cornmeal
- 1⁄2 cup oats
- Blend wet ingredients together. Whisk dry ingredients together and mix into wet mixture to form a ball of dough. Roll out and shape. Put onto a non-stick cookie tray or lightly greased one. Cook 20 minutes at 400°F Turn off oven and allow the biscuits to cool in over until crisp and harden. Store in airtight container.
Super easy recipe... I was looking for something fast and simple to make for my new adopted dog Lilli. Lilli, unfortunately, has bad breath, so I decided to replace the vanilla in the recipe with cinnamon. Time will tell whether her breath improves, but she has eaten one quite enthusiastically and begged for another when it was finished, so I'm optimistic. Tasty treat for the doggy and pretty cheap, too. :-)
This is a very easy to make recipe. The dough was a cinch to roll out. I accidentally left out the vanilla extract but neither of my 2 dogs seemed to notice. : )
