Peanut Butter Cream Bars

"found these in an old recipe book at my mothers"

• Yields: 3 dozen

ingredients

• BASE

• 2 cups flour
• 2⁄3 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
• 1⁄4 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 large egg

• FILLING

• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1⁄3 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup peanut butter chips

• GLAZE

• 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate baking square
• 1 teaspoon oil

directions

1. preheat oven to 350*.

2. prepare base:

3. combine all base ingredients and press into ungeased 9x13 pan --
4. bake for 15-20 minutes until light brown.

5. prepare filling:

6. beat cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla until fluffy -- add flour and eggs.
7. pour over base.sprinkle with peanut ubtter chips.return to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.cool completely.

8. prepare glaze:

9. in saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and oil and drizzle over tops of cookies.
10. let set before cutting.
