  • Melt the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler.
  • You can use a saucepan over low heat if you keep stirring while the chocolate melts.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and gradually add the sugar.
  • Stir the melted chocolate and butter into the eggs. Add the vanilla and stir until well blended.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a separate bowl. Add to chocolate mixture and blend.
  • Stir in the nuts. Pour batter into a greased 8 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
