  • Combine the first 5 ingredients in a mixer. Sift all the dry ingredients together. Fold the dry mixture softly into the wet ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan, Bake 425 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  1. I'm always intrigued when a recipe calls for something like 1 1/2 apples, as though they are all the same size! I got my 1 1/2 from 2 of the largest Gala apples I could find & followed the recipe right on down! The brown sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg gave me the spice flavoring that I do like, & this apple loaf was delicious! No need at all to share something that doesn't last very long, & this loaf was gone in no time at all! Many thanks for sharing the recipe!
