This is a good homecoming or cookout pie! I have not made it myself, but have had it at homecomings! Hope you enjoy!

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Beat egg yolks until light and thick.
  3. Sift spices with sugar.
  4. Add to the yolks.
  5. Add pecans, raisins, butter and vinegar.
  6. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  7. Fold egg yolk mixture into the egg whites.
  8. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  9. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce to 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

This pie was served at room temperature and needed nothing to accompany it. It would probably be good garnished with some whipped cream or ice cream as well. I used Splenda for 1/2 of the sugar and used a pre-made pie crust making this an easy recipe to prepare. Deliciously different.
