ingredients
- 4 cups uncooked rice
- 2 (1 1/4 ounce) packages onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
directions
- Combine all ingredients and mix until evenly distributed.
- Store in a cool dry place.
- Use within 6 months.
- Cooking directions: for 8 servings.
- Boil 3 cups water in a covered pan.
- Add 1 1/3 cups of rice mix; stir.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

This is great. I divided the rice into 1 cup portions instead of 1 1/3 cups since that made way too much. Just cut the water back to 2 1/4 cups. Also, I divided the seasonings by 4 and added them to the bags individually to make sure they all had even amounts. Thanks for the recipe. I plan to make the chicken and the curry mixes over the next few days.

I was looking for a flavored rice..normally I would just put buttor or margarine on my rice, but I am out of both..so I was trying to figure out how I could have rice without either of those. I typed in flavored rice and this is one of the first recipes that came up. Nice flavor and it couldn't have been easier..I will be trying your other flavored rice mixes too!! Thank you!!
