Oatmeal Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Bars

"I got this recipe off of the back of a generic butterscotch chip wrapper. I added some ingredients (I don't like plain butterscotch cookies) and they turned out really good!"

  1. Too dry. Next time I would reduce the flour by half a cup. I also thought there was too much sugar in the recipe, so I reduced it to about 3/8c brown sugar. That worked pretty well. I also added some vanilla. Probably will use some coarse sea salt next time.

  2. These were so yummy! Will definitely be making again! Thanks for a great recipe!

  3. Omg - AWESOME!!!!!

  4. Just wanted to say these turned out great using whole wheat pastry flour and coconut oil instead of butter. I like chocolate a lot more than butterscotch so I might try making them with just chocolate chips next time. These make a nice thick chewy bar!
