Missouri Cookies

"I got this recipe from the mother of a boy I almost married. The cookie recipe is way better than marrying her son (laughing). These are very easy, very good."

• Yields: 36 cookies

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup milk
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups sugar
• 3 tablespoons cocoa
• 3 cups oatmeal
• 1⁄2 cup chunky peanut butter

directions

1. Add first 5 ingredients to a saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, and boil 1 minute.
3. remove from heat.
4. Add in oatmeal and peanut butter.
5. Mix well.
6. Spoon by teaspoons to foil.
7. Let cool 15 minutes.
8. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

I had to laugh at step #8 since there wasn't a single cookie leftover! I've had a recipe like this for a long time but they always came out too hard after setting up. These were perfect! I'll be using this recipe again and again cause everyone in my family loved them! Congrats on your Week 11 Football Win for 2009!!
