Mashed Yams

I was tired of plain old mashed potatoes. Tried this as an alternative. Now, we eat more yams than white potatoes!

Very very good. We did add a little milk and some salt because all we had was unsalted butter. My daughter, who usually won't touch anything sweet potato or yam like, absolutely loved this. Way to go! We will definitely make this again.

  1. peel and cut yams into cubes.
  2. boil until tender (about 30 mins).
  3. drain.
  4. add butter, sugar, cinnamon.
  5. mix until smooth (I use the hand mixer but my mom prefers the stand mixer).
