  1. My family has called this Christmas hash and served it for Christmas brunch for over 50 years. A family tradition. I have served it for dinner as it is a favorite with children. We also serve it with corn at dinner time.

  2. Our German exchange student served us his version for dinner. His recipe from Hamburg Germany included juice from canned red beets which made the potato servings pink; served with dill pickles and red beets on the side. We all enjoyed it.

  3. Great Recipe for bad weather here in Florida...no electric need here. I had all on hand when the lights went out and feed a house full. Adults and Children both ate every bite..Thank You so very much in a time of need..Hugs

  4. For something so simple, it had a nice comforting flavor, the weather was quite hot last week, so I didn't want to spend any time in the kitchen, opted for instant potatoes, prepared in the microwave, than added the corned beef and nuked it for a few minutes. Supper was ready in minutes without heating up the kitchen, next time I think I'll add Durkee french-fried onions for a little extra flavor and crunch Thank You chefnini!

  5. First time that I have had corned beef hash and it is so good- comfort food plus. After I mixed it together I slipped it in the oven to really heat it through and then had it under the broiler for a few minutes to brown the top- it got a bit of a crust, nice texture and very good.. I can see adding garlic for a different flavor but just follow the recipe it is super. Thanks Chefnini for a new simple quick & tasty dinner — Jun 9, 2005
