"I got this recipe from my sister who is a great cook. It can be prepared a day ahead of time which comes in real handy for Thanksgiving. Also great with ham."

  1. These are awesome! I made them for Thanksgiving and was asked to make them again for Christmas. Thanks for a make-ahead recipe!

  2. This is a recipe my mom uses, particularly for the holidays, since it's so easy to prepare ahead. It is very good, a nice change of pace, and helpful when there's a lot of people to feed, and a lot of food to prepare. Don't expect it be be as fluffy as regular mashed potatoes, it is a little more dense, but has a really nice flavor. It'll be a handy recipe to have.
