Beware - this drink is so addicting, I only had them as an after dinner drink. If you don't like the strong alcohol taste of most tropical drinks, this is like drinking strawberries and cream . A wowie from Maui.

Ingredients Nutrition

Directions

  1. Pour the strawberry puree into a 14 oz hurricane glass.
  2. Fill a blender 1/3 full of ice and add remaining ingredients.
  3. Puree until slushy.
  4. Tilt the glass and gently pour the blender ingredients down the side of the glass and garnish.

If you enjoy white sand beaches, cool ocean breezes and sweet tropical drinks on the lanai, then this is the drink for you! I felt as though I had taken a mini vacation to a tropical paradise! Save this one until after supper - very sweet and refreshing! Thanks for a wonderful treat, Lorac! Edited to say: When I make this drink I do not add the sour mix, I use cream of coconut and add a touch of banana liqueur.

This one was good but better when blended both together. Thanks for a taste of the tropics.

Something is wrong with this one. Yuck!! I think someone erroneously added the sweet & sour mix to this recipe. We just got back from Maui, fell in love with this drink, but this recipe isn't anything like what we had. Its good without the sweet & sour syrup.
