  • Boil sugar and syrup just until sugar is dissolved, Remove from stove.
  • Add ½ cup peanut butter and the Special K Cereal.
  • Press into pan.
  • Frosting: Melt one large tablespoon of peanut butter with one small bag of milk chocolate chips.

  1. this isn't exactly my recipe (well, Mom's recipes) for these bars, but for icing, try using half a bag of chocolate chips and half a bag of butterscotch chips melted together. unless you have sensitive teeth, 'cause the "frosting" can hurt. and the bars are great by themselves too, sans topping. it's really too bad that cereal--esp. Special K--in Canada is so extravagantly expensive.
