Luscious and decadent, I will definitely be making this pie again! Very rich and lovely with the pecans, it went together easily and was soon scenting my kitchen of chocolate. I could hardly wait to try, and I did sprinkle a touch of Cyprus sea salt over the slice, as I've been experimenting with salt/chocolate combos. Too wonderful - thanks so much for sharing, Dienia B.!

This recipe sounds delicious, but is certainly not the dessert I have made for years. A friend who worked at Irelands Restuarant in Tallahassee FL brought home something simpler and much richer, using unsweetened chocolate, butter, eggs, sugar, and very little flour, with no chocolate chips or nuts. The only problem was whittling the recipe down without comprome: five eggs cannot be readily reduced :-) This recipe is closer to the one I have: http://therecipeplace.blogspot.com/2010/01/irelands-fudge-pie.html

Delicious! Made as written, except I added a pinch of salt, and removed my pie from the oven after baking for 25 minutes ~ I wanted it extra gooey! I served the pie with vanilla ice cream. Tagged on 01/31/13 for the Best of 2012 game!
