  1. Today was the second time I made this cake. The first was for a ladies spa party I was having, and today it was for an end of the season little league baseball party. Both times I got rave reviews about it! Everyone loved it! It is sooooo delicious! The first time I made it I used the full 1 cup of Kahlua, this time I only had about 2/3 of a cup, I actually like it better with less. One cup just seemed a little much. Either way its great!

  2. This is an amazing cake, however it did end up differently then expexted. When I manipulated the hot cake pan in one hand and the cake/serving plate in the other, the cake and pan did a lovely slide right onto my kitchen, cramic tile floor. Wow! Now what? I applied the 30 sec. rule, grabed my large spatula and scopped it all unto a plate. What now? I needed a dessert for the next day. I let it cool, doing lots of tasting, then broke it up into smaller chunks and created a triffle! 1 layer cake, drizzle more Kahlua. Doctored cherry pie filling with Amaretto Liqueur and did that next. Then a layer of cool whip and repeated the whole thing again. Shaved chocolete on top. I have enough cake left in the freezer for another go-round, It was an awesome dessert. I will try the intended version another time though. Thanks for posting. :-)
