This is Carolee's Famous apple cake from Aunt Fern. This is a keeper!!

Perfect Apple Cake! SUPER moist and just the perfect amount of spice. I diced my apples into smaller than dice size pieces, only because I made them in different pans and was worried they wouldn't soften enough. (I divided the recipe into 3 foil loaf pans and only baked for about 55 minutes.) Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  1. Filling: Mix apple pieces, sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Cake: Add wet ingredients.
  3. Add dry ingredients to wet.
  4. Batter will be thick.
  5. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan Add half the batter to pan.
  6. Add half the apples.
  7. Add the other half of batter and top with the apples.
  8. Bake at 350F for 1 ½ hours.
