Sauce served with Japanese BBQ.
- 1⁄3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons mirin (Japanese Sweet Cooking Wine)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, ground
- 1 teaspoon garlic, grated
- Put all ingredients in a bowl, and stir well.
I made this to have with Asian Dim Sums, threw all the ingredients into the blender, and added about 4 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar and a shake of Cayenne. It was delicious!! And paired so well with the pork in the Dim Sums. Has a nice subtle nutty hint with the sesame seeds.
I doubled it, and threw it all in the blender and it worked out great. Made this to go with a Japanese themed menu I'm making by request for my daughter's birthday. This sauce is as great as the kind we get at Arigato's in Clearwater. Thanks.
