delicious honey garlic sauce, great for stirfry
- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soya sauce
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
- mix above ingredients.
- add cornstarch if you desire a thicker sauce. Heat until thickened.
- serve with stirfry's, meat dishes, etc.
Overall not bad, however if you want to add a carmelized and deeper sweetness to this recipe, also add in 3 teaspoons of brown sugar.
Adding vinegar to the sauce was a bad idea. The vinegar overpowered the sweetness of the honey. I was disappointed with the recipe.
Very nice. I used 2 large cloves of garlic, minced, instead of powdered, and I added 1 cup broth and thickened the sauce with 1 tbsp arrowroot to make a larger quantity. Healthier than recipes that call for brown sugar.
