  1. This was really good, a nice twist on plain cukes. I used minced garlic instead of the clove right in the marinade. This makes a great side and it's easy. I used two "European" cukes and put the whole thing together in the morning for an afternoon get together. The leftovers were good the next day as well. I will surely be making this again. Thank for an excellent recipe.

  2. Made this on Fathers Day. Everyone loveed it. Just the right mix of sweet and sour. Can't wait to make it again.

  3. Very nice tasting salad, just tangy enough, yet sweet as well! Especially liked the subtle flavor of garlic, although another time I might add just a tiny bit more since I like it so much! Definitely a keeper of a recipe! Thanks for sharing! [Tagged, made & reviewed for a teammate in our vegetarian group in the Vegetarian/Vegan Recipe Swap]

  4. Great summer side! Refreshing and really good. I really liked the sweetness the sugar gives the cucumber dressing. *Made for ZWT 4*

  5. Wonderful cucumber salad!!!! I added a little garlic salt to replace the rubbing of the garlic clove and left out the sugar, but other than that didn't change the recipe!!! Well I should say except to make it for 2 people. I don't think it was too much vinegar, just right!!! But I guess that is all personal preference!!! Thanks Laffer for a great recipe!!!
