Gramma's recipe. A spin on coleslaw...very yummy.
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 teaspoons orange juice
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon nutmeg
- Combine cabbage and pineapple in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Combine mayo and remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Add to cabbage mixture, tossing to combine. Cover and chill.
Excellent! Simple ingredients and quick to prepare. Perfect served with fish or chicken. I did add 1 tsp. of sugar to the sauce. I also put in 1/4 tsp nutmeg but that was personal preference. I saved the pineapple juice for another recipe.The flavor is so great! Thanks for posting.
