"Great way to use up hard boiled eggs, with a little more flair than plain old egg salad. Time to prepare includes chill time."

  1. This has become an Easter tradition for us. It's a delicious way to use up the hard boiled eggs and ham from the holiday. I omit the salt and vinegar, and instead splash a few drops of soy sauce.

  2. We thought this was really good. Thanks for posting.

  3. Wow - I have never had egg salad before and this was really yummy. My DH wasn't sure about the cheese as he said "that's not how my Mom made them" but delared them good and had about three sanwiches!! Thanks!!

  4. I just LOVE egg mayo, and this doesn't disappoint. The mustard and the vinegar just take it all to the next level.....I added a good twist of fresh ground black pepper, and devoured. Delicious!!

  5. Very easy to make and quite tasty! I added a large chopped dill pickle to the egg salad and it added a nice crunchiness. Thanks for the recipe!

Tweaks

  1. This was a great ham salad. I used worcestershire sauce in place of vinegar though. I also added a little pickle relish. It was very tasty.

I was born in Chicago, IL and have lived in the area all my life. I love to cook and plan meals and always have. As a child I would watch Julia Childs on TV every day (she came on right after Mr. Rogers) and I have been interested in cooking ever since. Now that I have a family I enjoy the quick and easy recipes just as much as the more intricate ones. I didn't mind putting in the extra time and effort when I only cooked recreationally. I still like to do that sometimes, but for the day-to-day chore of cooking (and sometimes it is a chore) I like the option of fast and simple. I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing favorites of mine. I have found that sometimes the most unlikely sounding ones turn out to be the best! I try to always review the recipes I try because I know how much I enjoy getting that feedback myself. Even when it is not necessarily positive because sometimes suggestions help me tweak things and make them better!
