Delicious, rich Poppyseed Sauc! I've been searching for this appetizer/finger food recipe for a long time, something I always see at church fuctions and reunions, but could not find in a cookbook. Thanks for posting it. I never think of these until I have left-overs from a picnic ham-using your homemade prepared ham is not as easy as already sliced deli-style ham. It's hard to delicately eat it without pulling out the whole slice from the roll. So,I added these steps: I minced the ham in a food processor. I also processed a chunk of swiss cheese (slicer and shredding disks were in the dishwasher so I used the chopping blade which worked great on the ham but just okay on the partially frozen cheese). Putting the cheese and ham together, I sprinkled that evenly over the bottom layer of rolls and proceeded with the recipe. However,I couldn't find the small rolls. I settled for regular size. I found the rolls started to crisp before the 20 minutes were up so I covered with them foil since we like the rolls to be soft, not toasted. Hubby gobbled up a bunch last night and asked for two more for breakfast. It's a keeper.
