Half-Hour Apple Butter

"I grew up eating homemade biscuits slathered in apple butter. I always have a supply whenever the craving hits. It recently occured to me that the stuff must be loaded with sugar. At any rate, I found this recipe in local recipebook from my hometown. I use splenda in place of sugar."

  1. I am so glad I checked the new recipes this morning! I had a quart of "apple butter" that I had bought sugar free. They meant sugar free!! I thought it would have splenda or something in it instead. I was thinking seriously about throwing it in the garbage. I found this recipe this morning and decided to try it. I am so glad!! I haven't even allowed time for it to cool, and already I love the stuff. Its a keeper! Thank you so much for saving my quart of so called, "apple butter"!!!
