    mersaydees's Note:

Based on a recipe from Esther Blum's book, Eat, Drink, and Be Gorgeous, a nutritionist's guide to living well while living it up. She adds, "Green tea is also loaded with polyphenols and antioxidants, improving the nutritional content of your alcoholic bevvie." This is certainly a starting point for those trying to add green tea to their diet! This is one of my all-time favorite vodka martinis! :)

Although a martini IS supposed to be all or mostly alcohol, and although I did enjoy the flavor as written, I liked it MUCH better after adding a lot more green tea (probably about 8 ounces). I love the concept of having some antioxidants with my liquor! Will definitely make again. Thanks for posting! Made for Veg*an Swap, September 2010

We made these last night for a little afterwork treat! DH had one at a bar in NYC and raved so we gave it a try. We thought it was quite delicious. I used Lipton's diet citrus green tea (from a bottle) and half lemon absolut vodka and half plain vodka. We really enjoyed this and will make again! Thanks for posting! I am soooo sorry.....nobody liked this. There was too much alcohol for me & I couldn't detect the green tea at all. Others just didn't like the taste. I had a 6.5 oz can of delicious sencha green tea & I kept adding more tea but the citrus vodka just took over. I'm sorry! I hate giving low stars! Perhaps someone else will like this more. Maybe it's because I'm not much of a drinker? It's a strong drink! Made for Veggie Tag 8/09.
