Nice to make in the summer because it requires no cooking.
- 1⁄2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 slices pumpernickel bread or 2 slices dark rye bread, crumbled
- 2⁄3 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped nuts
- Whip the cream then add the sugar and vanilla.
- In four dessert dishes place alternating layers of bread crumbs, cranberry sauce and whipped cream.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
- Sprinkle with nuts before serving.
