As "advertised", this is easy and does go well with cheese. Served as part of a cheese, cracker and fruit tray. Wouldn't change a thing! I used a combination of Smyrna and Mission figs.

This turned out very nice indeed! I had to use an extra 1/2 cup of water to get my figs soft enough. Also, I added a lot of cinnamon, a little clove and nutmeg, and some vanilla for more flavor. The end product was too sweet for me, but my husband thought it was just fine. Next time I will add half the amount of sugar. It was delicious with cheese! I look forward to making the less sweet version. Thanks!
