This was a favorite of mine growing up
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1⁄2 cup chopped onion
- 3⁄4 cup chili sauce
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup prepared mustard
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 12 hamburger buns, split
- 12 slices cheddar cheese
- In large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain well.
- Stir in chili sauce, water, mustard and chili powder.
- Transfer to Crock pot.
- Cover, cook on low 4-6 hours or til flavours are blended.
- Spoon 1/2 cup onto each bun and top with cheese.
Yummy!!! I am not a fan of sloppy joes in the can but I sure loved this. I ate it with a spoon!
