  • Combine flour, salt and pepper.
  • Coat chicken with the flour mixture, and set aside 4 1/2 tablespoons for the sauce.
  • Cook chicken in heated oil in a pan over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Set aside.
  • In the same pan, sautee the chopped onion in the butter until tender.
  • Add lemon juice and continue to sautee. Add reserved flour and thyme. Gradually add broth, stirring continuously, deglazing the pan of any brown bits. Bring the sauce to a boil to thicken.
  • Turn down the head adn add chicken back in pan. Simmer and cover until chicken in cooked through.
