I really thought I'd bought spaghetti sauce the other night, but ransacked my pantry and couldn't find a jar. I had a few things on-hand and just made my own. We loved how light, yet flavorful, the sauce was!

  1. On medium-high heat, melt your butter in a skillet. Once melted, add onions and bell pepper until softened. Add tomatoes and stir around for about a minute to get them nice and soft. Add tomato sauce, black pepper, garlic & onion powders, italian seasoning, and sugar. Simmer for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Pour over pasta and enjoy!
