directions

  • Mix crabmeat, cream cheese, steak sauce and garlic powder together in a medium bowl.
  • Place 1 1/2 tsp of crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold in half diagonally; press edges to seal.
  • Repeat with remaining filling and wonton wrappers.
  • Heat 1/4 inch oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • When oil is hot (350F), fry wontons until lightly browned, about 1 to 2 minutes on each side. (I confess, I use my deep-fryer!).
  • Remove to a paper towel-lined platter to drain before serving.

OK lets see...My name is Diane and I'm married to a wonderful guy -- going on 20 years. We have 2 kids -- 1 daughter and 1 son a 70lb german shepard, a fat cat and a very snobby cat! I work a couple of days a week in the Loop and the rest of my time is spent sitting at the kids sporting events. I love to try new recipes. Luckily, hubby will try just about anything. The kids aren't so eager about that, but are generally very good sports about it!
