Simple and quick to make, delicious to the tastebuds--what more do you need? Kids love this stuff, so do adults. Excellent for a substantial snack after school, tailgate party, picnic, appetizer at a fancy party.
- Mix the ingredients.
- Refrigerate to meld the flavors.
- Serve at room temp with crackers
- OR spread a spoonful on a slice of toast or French bread & broil for a minute.
I spread this on a crusty baguette which I lightly toasted and then broiled it to melt the cheese. My teenage daughter declared it "one of the best things she has eaten". I made it as indicated but I think I'd like it with a bit of onion or garlic added so I'll try that next time. Thanks Debber!
I made a double batch and the first half went to the houseboat for the Derby Party. It was a big hit there. The second half went to Lexington to a family cook out and it got great reviews there also. We did broil it on French bread and everyone agreed that it must be served hot! A great recipe and very easy.
Fantastic. I spread this on bagels this am for breakfast and put under the broiler. Yumm, yumm. A great change from butter and cream cheese. I used light mayo and 2% cheese with real bacon bits.
