This is an easy way to make ordinary burger taste exceptionally good.

  1. In a bowl, combine the cheese, mushrooms, mayo, and bacon.
  2. Cover and refrigerate.
  3. In another bowl, combine onion, salt, peppers garlic powder and pepper sauce.
  4. Add ground beef and mix well.
  5. Shape into 6 (1/2in) thick patties.
  6. Grill, covered over medium-hot heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  7. Spoon cheese mixture on top of each burger.
  8. Grill until cheese begins to melt.
  9. Serve on warm hamburger buns with lettuce and tomato if desired.

I used temph bacon instead of the real bacon. The vegetaians in our family had grilled veggie burgers with the topping while the meat eaters had the burgers from your recipe. We all enjoyed them and will probably make again when it warms up and we are looking for meals to grill. Thanks for a great recipe.

love this, used grilled fresh mushroom pieces, and the mayo had dijon mustard in it. wow that made the flavor even better. ty for recipe.

Great burgers! I used fresh mushrooms for the canned, low fat mayo and 2% mf cheese to cut down on calories and Maple Leaf Ready Crisp bacon bits to cut down on clean up. Thanks
