  • Pour your favorite sauce (does not have to be barbecue) over the top, cover and cook on low all day.

  1. Made this the other night but had to use two partial bottles of barbecue sauce (one bold and spicy the other hickory smoked) as that is what I had in the fridge and wanted to use up. I chose this recipe to disguise boneless, skinless chicken thighs so DH would eat them. He won't eat anything but white meat however; the cost factor is becoming a big issue these days. I am thrilled to say that he LOVED the chicken saying it was so moist, tender and flavorful. I now know I can fool DH and serve a dinner we all enjoy! The chicken was served over rice with a side of raw sugar snap peas.
     
  2. Super-easy! I started mine late and so had to cook it on high (4 hours for one chicken breast). I salted and peppered the it lightly. I placed the chicken breast on a "bed" of onion slices, since I have had problems with my crockpot burning things in the past (it's an older one with the element on the bottom). The bed of onions worked, and made a nice little side dish with the chicken. Thanks, Swirly!
