Cream Cheese Cake

"Most preferred cake at my house, great with strawberries, whip cream, vanilla ice cream or just serve by itself. So good no icing or glazing needed. From one of my mom's friends back in 1991, and have made about that many as well!"

  1. This receipe is super yummy. I covered it Cream Cheese Frosting and Poured Glaze over it. Then placed strawberries all around it. It held up so nice. Great cake for carving. And sooo easy to make. I will post my picture tonight! It was wonderful.

  2. Wonderful - simple cake.. A lot like a pound cake, only easier, and slightly lighter, but lovely flavor... i added a tsp. of almond extract and a handful of shredded coconut and iced with my favorite buttercream icing the last time i made it( i have posted the icing recipe) - a definite keeper - Thanks!

I've relocated to Nashville from Louisiana lived with family for awhile but in my own place in Hermitage, TN . My mother collected cookbooks and I've continued her passion! My favorite cookbook is from my mom, I picked her brain for all her recipes, before she went to heaven. Had fun deciphering if the handful she showed was a cup, or just enough to cover bottom of pot would be WHAT! I now work at a large hospital in the Reference Lab and have people already drooling over the things they hear I can cook!!!! Love the ocean, walking on the beach, or in the woods and mountains, anything to do with water. Like doing a lot of different crafts for my church, sewing, quilting, traveling and of course COOKING!
