Light, moist, and oh so chocolaty. My families one and only favorite chocolate cake.
- Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, and cocoa. Mix well.
- Add mayonnaise and water, beat until smooth.
- Put in greased and floured cake pan.
- Preheat oven 350.
- Bake 30-35 minutes.
- Allow to cool and cut into 10 4 inch pieces.
Very good. Similar to a recipe my mom always had in her recipe file. Great with peanut butter frosting. I do prefer mom's recipe, since hers uses miracle whip, which adds a nice tang that mayonnaise just doesn't have. made for Fall PAC 08.
