East Chipotle Mayonnaise

"Found this on Emeril's website. It was reported that this is the sauce that they use on Dairy Queen's Flamethrower Burgers. Sounds like it would be good with fries too."

• Ingredients: 7
• Yields: 0.75 cup

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 1 chipotle chile in adobo, seeds removed and roughly chopped (about 2 teaspoons)
• 2 teaspoons adobo sauce
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic, minced
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄8 teaspoon dried oregano

directions

1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend on high until smooth, about 30 seconds.
2. Transfer to a clean container and refrigerate until ready to use or serve.
3. Yield: about 3/4 cup.

What a terrific addition to jazz up some sandwiches! I slathered it on a panini and loved it. I know I'll use this recipe over & over. The garlic & note of oregano fit in perfectly and added depth to the sauce. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

This was a nice addition to our grilled hamburgers. I fixed it as posted, tasted then added a dash of lime juice. Adding the lime juice gave this another demension and made it perfect for us. I could see making a potatoe salad using this sauce. I will fix this again! Thank you for posting lazyme.
