Chicken & Pierogies Casserole

- 1 dozen frozen potato & cheese pierogi, thawed
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
directions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Butter a 2 qt casserole dish.
- Place pierogies in bottom of dish.
- In a large bowl, combine soup, milk, mushrooms, peas and chicken.
- Pour over pierogies.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until heated through.
- Note: I have used unthawed pierogies and just added 15 additional minutes to the baking time.

Made this the other day and was really surprised. I omitted the mushrooms because I am the only one that likes them. Also added a couple of tablespoons of Sour Cream for richness. Cooked for 50 minutes with Frozen Pierogi's, and added some shredded swiss & cheddar right at the end of baking time. Very Yummy and Easy. I make a similar recipe with Hamburger Meat. This recipe will be a keeper just like that one. Thanks for Posting!

<p>I was born and raised in Connecticut. I love the New England area, I think it is so pretty with the change of the seasons. <br /><br />I work for an ambulance company in their wheelchair division for non-emergency transportation. I work in the billing and customer service office. I love my job, the duties are so varied that you are always working on something different....no time for boredom. <br /><br />I am a mother to four, two sons and two daughters. <br />All have left the roost to start there own family. At last count, I was a granny to 6 boys and 2 little girls. <br /><br />I love Recipezaar and all the new daily postings. I see so much I want to try and continue to save them. I just don't have all the time to make all these recipes. I lost my husband in July 2006 and I am not the spring chicken anymore...pretty tired when I get home from work...so it's all quick, quick, quick, for me. <br /><br />I have tried a few....and have been pleased with my results and the new taste sensations. I am trying to initiate a goal of trying at least two new recipes a week.
