This pie is to die for! I let every bite just melt, it tastes amazing. The original recipe i had found long ago called for you to pour the entire cherry pie filling into the pie, but i did not like the texture and it just ruined the chocolateyness of it for me.
- Melt chocolate and butter together on the stove, stirring continuously so as it doesn't burn.
- Stir in cream cheese.
- Drain one cup of the pie filling and gently mix it together.
- Pour mixture into pie crust.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- After you can top with heavy whipped cream and/or use the rest of cherries to top the pie. I prefer just the cherries.
