Cheesy Breakfast Casserole

  • Melt cheeses in microwave and stir well.
  • Stir sausage into cheese mixture.
  • Spread one can of crescent rolls on bottom of greased 9x13 casserole dish.
  • Pour sausage and cheese mixture over cresecents and spread to cover.
  • Spread second can of crescents on top of casserole.
  • Bake at 350 degrees until top is golden.

  1. I added chopped green peppers and onions in with the sausage, used sharp cheddar in place of the Velveeta and added a five egg w/ a splash of milk mixture on top of the sausage mixture... EVERYONE loves it!!! I have made it a few times for different occasions over the last few months.... Thanks!!!
     
  2. I take this to covered dish occasions-especially around the holidays. Also I like to add a can of Rotel tomatoes to spice it up a little or you can use spicy sausage. It is so good I could eat the whole recipe myself!

  4. This is quick and easy and something everyone liked. We liked it warm and at room temperature so it would be great for get togethers where it might sit out for a while. I might try adding some onions or eggs or something as there isn't a lot of contrast with the texture and flavors. Also might try using spicy sausage.
