Lovely savoury cheese balls that my mother used to make. One of the first things I learned to cook, so sharing here.
- Sift flour, salt and cayenne pepper together.
- Mix cheese with flour.
- Beat egg yolk and lemon together, mix with dry ingredients.
- Stiffly beat egg whites, and mix into mixture.
- Heat oil in fry pan.
- Drop approximately 12 portions into oil, fry until golden brown, turning to cook both sides.
- Drain on paper towel.
