Carrot Celery Deluxe

"I love this dish! I think I got it from the Canadian Living Magazine. Sometimes I add a 1/2 onion. Mushrooms would also be nice."

  • Cut vegetables into 2 inch strips.
  • Cook 15 min in chicken broth.
  • Melt butter in saucepan.
  • Take off heat and add flour.
  • Whisk in milk.
  • Return to heat and add vegetables and broth.
  • Simmer 20 minutes, skimming off any scum.
  • Add spices and 2 tsp parmesan cheese.
  • Top with topping.
  • Bake 350° for 1/2 hour.
