  • Cake:.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare three 8 or 9 inch cake pans by oiling the bottom of the pans only and lining them with parchment paper cut to fit the bottom of the pans.
  • In large mixing bowl combine all cake ingredients and beat for 2 minutes.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans and bake about 30 minutes or until cake tests done with toothpick.
  • Cool in pans for 10 minutes; run a knife around the sides of the pans to loosen cake and turn out onto cooling rack to finish cooling.
  • Frosting:.
  • In medium mixing bowl combine all frosting ingredients and beat until light and fluffy.
  • Spread between layers and on top and sides of cake.
