Caramel Frosting

• Yields: 3 cups

ingredients

• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1⁄3 cup heavy cream
• 2⁄3 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 cups powdered sugar

directions

1. Mix butter, cream, brown sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
3. Remove from heat; add vanilla and gradually blend in powdered sugar until you reach the consistency you like.
