This has been around my family for for as long as I can remember. It is fast,easy,good for you, good on a cool evening. Served with some nice bread, its a really nice soup

  1. Heat oil in big stock pot.
  2. Add cabbage and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add chicken stock.
  4. Simmer for 30 min.
  5. With the lid on.
  6. Add pasta,continue cooking for 15 minutes until pasta is done.

I love cabbage and pasta, but this was not much more than that. I also love flavor, which this didn't have enough of. So I added some onions and corned beef and gobbled the rest up. :)

I made the soup this afternoon. I thought it was very good. I may try adding a little diced ham to it or some carrots. I like carrots as much as I do cooked cabbage, so why not. Good recipe,I will make it many more times.

I added canned corned beef and carrots to this and it was delicious! Very quick and easy and even my 3-year-old loved it. A fast & easy comfort food!
