This is a recipe I acquired when I was a teen, from a neighbor. It is always well accepted when I take it to a potluck.
- 118.29 ml butter
- 473.18 ml brown sugar
- 354.88 ml flour
- 9.85 ml baking powder
- 2.46 ml salt
- 2 eggs
- 2.46 ml vanilla extract
- 236.59 ml walnuts, broken
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Melt butter and add brown sugar. Stir over low heat, until sugar has melted. Remove from heat and add dry ingredients. Add eggs and vanilla; stir in walnuts.
- Spread in an ungreased 9" x 13" baking pan and bake at 300° for 25-30 minutes.

These are really wonderful. I made them for a celebration of life. I iced them with a cinnamon, vanilla icing and they went fast! Thank you, this one will be made many times!
These are delicious and so incredibly easy to make. Thank you, Graymare! Made for Spring 2010 PAC.
