  • Stir together the first four ingredients. Cut in the shortening until mix resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add the milk and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the berries.
  • Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a greased sheet; sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 15-17 minutes until light brown.
