This is an easy one pot meal. Instead of using ground beef this one calls for cube steaks. I had to guess at the size of the tomato can.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 14.79 ml vegetable oil
  • 453.59 g beef cube steak, cut lengthwise into 1 inch strips and then crosswise into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 340.19 g canmexican style dices tomatoes, undrained
  • 354.88 ml rotini pasta, uncooked
  • 118.29 ml water
  • 118.29 ml cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium high heat.
  2. Cook beef and onions 3-4 min, stirring frequently until beef is browned and onions have softened.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes, pasta, and water.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover tightly and simmer for 15-20 min or until pasta is tender.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
